Making Asian manufacturing easier to use

Modern Asian PCB and PCBA manufacturers are very capable, especially for prototypes and small to medium production volumes. The real barrier is often not manufacturing itself, but the technical coordination around it.

BOM questions, substitute parts, DFM feedback, manufacturing options, panelization, assembly files and production questions all take time — especially if you do not work with these processes every day.

I have good contacts with PCB manufacturers and assembly partners and can act as the technical interface for you.

You do not need to work through the complete PCBA process yourself.

You talk to me about the hardware. I handle the manufacturing coordination.

What volumes is this for?

This service is especially useful for prototypes and small to medium volumes — exactly where building an internal sourcing and manufacturing organization would often be disproportionate.

Typical projects may include:

  • a first professional prototype,
  • 10 to 50 assemblies,
  • small production runs of a few hundred units,
  • recurring smaller manufacturing batches.

What do I need from you?

If you already have a design, a good starting point is:

  • schematic,
  • PCB layout or Gerber data,
  • BOM,
  • planned quantity,
  • special requirements for components, connectors or mechanics.

If there is no design yet, a description of what the hardware needs to do is enough to start.
